Stars out of Balance is a truly well-done piece regarding a struggling acrobatic family who continues its family traditions as acrobats for six generations! With the Zarka family in rough times with a raging ongoing war while stuck in a camp with bad living conditions, it forces the family to break up and take their own paths, whether it be good for them, or it lead to their demise. This show was both heartbreaking and heart-warming. This production takes you to a place that most plays don’t often do.

Written by Lynda Crawford, and directed by Terry Greiss, the plays sports a powerhouse group of actors: Zsófia Kozma, John Montague, Rivka Rivera, Courtney Torres, and Fidel Vicioso – all working as a single unit.

Overall, this show was absolutely terrific. I loved every bit of it. They know how to pull certain strings within the show to make you feel a certain way in certain scenes. The playwright, director, and the cast knew exactly what they were doing to hook you into the show just to really feel like you belong. It was a warm and welcoming feeling and the show was pleasant to watch overall. There isn’t really much to correct when such a show has already been doing great. Not to mention, this was one of the very first airing of this brand new production. Good on the director, playwright, and cast for nailing such a difficult performance on their first try!
